The Captain Jonathan Parker House

Step back in time at the Captain Jonathan Parker House, a treasured historic home built in 1824 in the heart of Osterville, Cape Cod. Originally constructed as a classic half-Cape house, it was once the residence of Captain Jonathan Parker, a prominent schooner captain who played a vital role in the village’s 19th-century fishing and coastal trade industry.

Over the centuries, the home was expanded and carefully preserved, becoming part of the Osterville Historical Museum in 1961. Today, the house features seven beautifully curated rooms showcasing rotating exhibits and a permanent collection of historic maps, 18th and 19th-century furniture, ceramics, and artwork that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Cape Cod.

Visitors are welcomed through a stunning 19th-century ornamental garden, thoughtfully designed and maintained by the Osterville Garden Club, offering a picturesque entrance to this beloved museum property.
